Basic Weapons and armour

Okay, these would be basic weapons. There will most likely be special weapons that you can obtain, buy, etc. but these would be for every type of metal.

Weapons: (I will work on range weapons later.)

Short sword

Long sword

Two-handed sword

Scimitar

Basterd sword (Look it up, it is a real sword)

Battle axe (duel headed)

Spear

Pike

Dirk

Knife

War hammer

Halbard


ARMOUR:

Plate Legs

Plate body

Plate Skirt

Chainmail

Medium Helm

Full helm (plum and visor)

boots

Bracers (Can only be worn with chain mail)

Greaves (only worn with plate skirt)


BOWS: ShortBows and Longbows and Crossbows. Short fires slightly faster, but long is more powerful. Crossbows are Slow, but very powerful.

Pine: Level 1

Oak: 10

Willow: 20

Maple: 30

Ironwood: 40

Dwarven: 50

Elven Compound:60

Then of course you would have dragon armour.

I covered range armour and Wizard robes in the Armour and Weapons thread.

Please, tell me of anything I am missing or should remove. It does not mean it will happen.

The Basterd Sword is prettymuch a Long Sword and also maybe you could add a scimitar? What do you think the bows should be?

True, but there s one major thing about the Basterd sword. It can be wielded either one handed or two handed. It would be two without a shield, one with a shield.

yes, i can. however, i think they should be special weapons that you have to have a high enogh attack to wield.

So what will the weapons that are able to be dual-wielded?? Im thinking Short Swords, Scimitars, Dirk, Knifes and War Hammers.

I am thinking special weapons. Special duel blades. Butterfly swords, etc. They would be gained after a certain quest or something. It would take special training to duel weild weapons, and in most cases, is impractical.

Ohh. Well that sucks for me, cause I was going to be like an expert on dual-wielding. This just makes it a lot harder.

Well, I am not laying everything down here. I am just saying, I have tried, and it is no easy thing to duel wield weapons. Now, knives are completly different with swords.

I mean that things can easily change. Just because I believe duel weapons should be special, does not mean they will. The fact that duel blades are impracticale, that is fact. There are but a few contradictions. Hook swords, and butterfly swords. Butterfly swords are specifically designed to be duel wielded and their length shows that.

I was saying, duel wielding knives no not that hard and could be easily done early on.

Yes, you are still god <3 2 handed swords <3. Duel-wield sounds goooood. Maybe, at a higher strength level (exists?) you can wield it in one hand, possibly making it a bit faster at points.


Heh, this game is starting to sound a lot like Runescape (but ALOT better).

Sounds like Runescape because I am moddling it off of it. I am only moddling it (this is all my opinion) because hey have a simple system which allows you to do a lot, while still keeping it simple.

LOL ohh modeling. Ya I could defintly see a resemblence to runescape(when it came to the weapons and armour). Fallen is right, Runescape is a great game, however its magic syastem was troll.(Yes I did just make a OWL reference from Harry Potter lol! )

Lol, I remember one of the songs song during the Yule Ball in the fourth move went something like "...if you can dance like a hippogriff, party like a troll..."

But yeah, the magic system on RS sucked, but this time we're helping make the magic system, so we're to blame if it's horrible, but I doubt it will be. The problem with the RS magic system was that you just used the same spell over and over, and the spell was the same elements(ie earth, wind, fire, water), but just powered up each time.
