That actually sounds really good. But you would have to tell the new people what each one meant, like if you choose this, you become this class. But that still really sounds good.

Come on over to my igloo after the hockey game, and we can fry some flapjacks and drink maple syrup while watching the Celine Dion concert, eh?

Yes, the tutorial is only supposed to cover the Starter Classes, not the Hybrid/Advanced classes, so Beast Taming wouldn't be in the tutorial, but yeah I like the tutorial.

I liked the idea but change the magician part a bit. I mean the warrior takes weeds, scout apples, and the magician pulls water of something with just a stick?!?! Dude is only 7 and he's able to manipulate water Shocked

Maybe they could dress up as wizards and pretend to be them, modling after Harry Potter or something.

Vervada wrote:okay about the tutorial:
After you presumably type a name for your character and select the gender(and maybe customize the character a little) you get to go in the game. There you find your younger self (about 7 years old?) being in some house. Than you walk up to your mom/dad and ask her/him if you can go play in the garden/go play with other kids. So after going to a playground/your own garden you see a nice green grass(possibly other little kids running around) with a few trees, a pile of sand, a pool of water, your lunch(or breakfast) and a cat having little kitties. After seeing this you can go up to the toys and there you find a stick,a toy-sword, a slingshot and a kids shovel. Picking a thing up would give you a goal.(Warrior):Picking up the toy-sword would give you a goal to get rid of the weed, which you can accept or refuse(aka I have to think about it); - refusing the goal would make you put down the item- (Scout...or was it somethinge else lol): picking up the slingshot would give you a goal to shoot an apple form the tree(without damaging the poor apple of course); (Wizard):picking up the stick would give you a goal to go to the pool of water, put the stick in, managing to somehow get some energy into it and pulling it out together with the water;(Craftsman): picking up the kids shovel would give you a goal to build a sand-castle out of the pile of sand and (Healer):picking up you breakfast would give you a goal to feed the cat and her kitties.
The items you could pick up to start a class could glow a little (maybe bluish) so noone could miss them lol. (I certainly would lol)
And after completing a goal, there'd be a cut-scene or something showing you older self now, having the basic class you chose when you were kid. (You'd find yourself in some random city, like Cavahal(sp?) etc.)

Yes.

Well, one crown doesn't actally equal one dollar in real life, but it's more simple this way.

I prefer it my way...maybe the kid who "does magic", does something simple, like he wants to bring the stick to him, so he tries to summon it, and it moves like 0.0001111mm.

Re: Setting things in stone

Post by Vervada on Wed 3 Nov - 14:18:14

Yeah i couldn't think of anything good for magician so I did just something random lol. Maybe like this there is a Ball toy, you pick it up and than your goal is to...Play with your dog with it, but it automatically gets stuck somewhere high in the tree, you try to climg the tree, but because you can you get frustrated and out of frustration, you (not-knowing-how) use magic to get it out of tree and down to you.

Or maybe...there is a drawing book with colors and a paintbrush. You pick that up and you get a goal to draw something magical-like. You draw some wizards casting their spells and such. Than your paintbrush brokes while drawing this. You are very, very sad and frustrated about it and somehow you manage to fix it with magic.

Or...there is a piece of paper, you pick it up and you get a goal to make a paper-plane and than fly it around. You make the plane but it doesn't want to fly as far as you'd want it to fly so you give it some energy and it flies really good now.
Oh well no other ideas at the moment, lol.

Yeah, some form of weaker magic, so I was thinking of moving something slightly...Maybe a ball rolls away and is going to get out of the playground or something, and you use magic to make its rolling speed slow down, so YAY, now your ball doesn't go bye-bye.

The tutorial is meant to teach you the different starter classes without you actually using them, so I'm not sure about the ideas where the kid uses magic. While more realistic, ANY kind of magic a kid uses would surely kill them, and this tutorial is for kids at like age 7 lol.

I still think the little kiddies should dress up as wizards and use sticks for wands. Maybe the just read Harry Potter or something.
