Fight System.

How should we do the fight system. I would think it would be cool if we did something unique not Eragon does 12 damage to shadeslayer. Something I don't know uniqe.

I think span has that worked out. It will be based on your level, weapon, material, and the other person's level and armour.

I mean we should do something besides We hit them and do 24 damage. Something more realistic. LIke I swing my blade at him and he has 2-3 seconds to choose the option to block. Somethig like that.

What he means is that he doesn't want a Runescape fighting system, where you hit and do X damage. The problem with this, Night, is that that's how about every fighting system in the world is. Even Ps3 Games have that kind of fight system. There really is no other kind.

However, Span has a system where it's like someone swings at you and your armor absorbs damage equivalent to how strong the armor is, and you have a certain chance to dodge the attack, or block it.

That's a lot better. Your probably right. I figured that it would be an awesome thing though to be one of the few rpges that don't do X damege.

Every game that has fighting in it uses that system. Otherwise there wouldn't be any way to tell if you're winning or losing

Yeah, Guild wars, or WoW style, where you hit every X seconds because of your weapon speed/attack/whatever, mixed with Span's idea.

That seems cool to me. My original thought was to have a style of fighting that was unique something you don't really find in other rpg's

Yeah, but some people cba to click block, click dodge, depending on which attack the opponent used...I've played a game with that style, if they thrust you have more chance to dodge with dodge, if they slash, you can jump etc...

No, I really hated that system, because it got annoying clicking whenever someone hit you, and if you didn't and they did, you would probably lose the fight.

It's not a very good system, in my opinion. People using laptops have a major disadvantage because their mouse is much less quicker and harder to use than a standard computer mouse.

I don't mean like instantly and change everything, but slowly switch weapon speeds, so dagger and scimitar don't hit at the same speed etc...
