Basic Armour/Weapons and Material

Eh, (I have been saying that alot lately) I decided to combine these and shut the old threads down. It is better, in my opinion, that they go togethr. I have done some work. Remeber, Span has not finalized anything. Many of the later armour will proably be added later.

So, yeah, i am prioritizing the weapons and Armour that we will have. more will be added in updates.

Basic Armour Materials:
RESERVED FOR WEAPONS, CHAINMAIL, SHIELDS, PLATE ARMOUR, HELMETS, BOOTS, BRACERS, GREAVES.

level 1: Copper

Level 5: Bronze

Level 15: Iron

level 25: Steel

Level 35: Dwarven


Level 45: Elven

Level 55: Brightsteel

Level 65: Silver (Order given)

Level 65: Kvekvite (Order only)

Level 75: Gold (Order given)

Level 75: Helgrite (Helgr = sacred) {Order Only}

Level 85: Make suggestion (Order only

Level 95: Dragonite (Order only)

Silver and Gold armour will not be better than brightsteel. However, it is only given to friends of the Order and is decritave armour. It takes a higher level to wear.

Dwarven and Elvan is just dwarf or Elvan made. Both contain a little magic in them. Dwarven has only a little magic boost, Elvan has more. They are both made out of steel.

LEATHER ARMOUR:
RESERVED FOR RANGERS, SCOUTS, KNIGHTS, ASSASSINS, THRUSTERS. BERSERKERS HAVE THEIR OWN ARMOUR.

level 1: leather

Level 10: Hardend Leather

Level 20: Studded Leather

Level 30: Lorica

Level 40: Nagra leather

Level 50: Urzhad leather

Level 60: Shrrg leather

Level 70: Fanghur leather

Level 80: Letherblaka leather

Level 90: Dragon Scale Armour, Lethrblaka skin


WIZARD ROBES: (they protect agains that element and boost that element's attack)

Robes of Deloi: Level 10 (earth)

Robes of Adurna: Level 20 (Water)

Brisingr Robes: Level 30 (fire)

Robes of Vadir: Level 40 (air)

Robes of Kvekva: Level 50 (lightning)

Robes of Vadir Abr: Level 80 (Will explain later)


Shields:

Square Shield: Knight and Scout

Kite Sheild: Knight

Round Shield: Knight and Scout

Small shield: Kight, Scout And Berserker.

Assassin Armour:

Leather

Assassin Armour (Leather Armour with metal shell)


BOWS: ShortBows and Longbows and Crossbows. Short fires slightly faster, but long is more powerful. Crossbows are Slow, but very powerful.

SHORTBOWS AT THE START

Pine: Level 1

Oak: 10

Willow: 20

Maple: 30

Ironwood: 40

Compound: 50

Dwarven: 60

Elven Compound: 70

Menoa Tree compound: 80

Magic bow: 90 (enhanced with magic)



Oi. Okay, so I changed the Pikeman to Spearman (Needs better name). I will be putting a formal request into Span for a name change. This comes after a bit of research.

The problem came down to:

1: The pike is just a type of spear. It is 16 feet long and was used to defend musketeers in the 17th centure.

2: The Pike features a spall head. A spear leafs out and were wide. Pikes were little mre than a spike at the end of a long shaft.

In the end, a pike would not be used in Alagaesia. It's specific use was against Cavalry. It's head design was because it could be cast, instead of forged. Also, a spear works just as well against cavalry.


* A short spear is for close combat. It excells at stabbing in close range. It is not used to keep oponent at a distance

A long spear is 8+ feet and is typically used in Phalanxe (Spartans, Macedonia phalanxes). It excells at stabbing and keeping the enemy at bay.

** These weapons have a poison form.

Not warrior weapons, but a berserker Weapon. I put claymores down their because of their size. They are like supersized two handed swords. The first were 6 feel long with a 5 foot blade. That would be when William Wallace started his revolt. Did you know, the average hight back ten was 5 feet tall. A claymore was taller than most people.

Yes, the Claymore is not a berserker weapon. It's size is the key. It is gracefully weilded, but few warriors would weild one. I clasified it because it is much bigger than a normal two handed sword.

When I say claymore, I think 13th century Highland Claymore (dont search it. you will only find info on late moddels). It is a thick, 5 foot long blade. It's handles a foot long. Basic hand guard, no honey comb design.

Nothing, the claymore is not in the Warrior weapons. Only Berserker.

The are daggers, not claymore.

@Durza: Sorry, messed that answer up. The Berserker sword is completly different from a highland Claymore. Th Highland Claymore is wat William Wallace weilded, if that helps. If not, look it up. It wil be a bit different from the stuff you can find.

I'm loving what you put so far, with a few exceptions.

Spearman won't have shields. The use both of their hands to handle the spear for offensive purposes. Shields will be used with the Knight and their lance though.

Same goes with the warrior's armor. It will be high, but plate would be something exclusive to the Knight class since they're essentially the tanks of the game.

Duel weilding Scimitars? Do not have those down because of weight issue. Scimitars are front heavy they are a slashing weapon. No. duel weilded weapons are light at the front, Heavy at the handle.

EDIT: Okay, I updated the Spearmen, Berserkers, Assassins, Scouts. Yeah. You really want to look for changes often
