Oh, the remembering the class skills, maybe you could make it guild wars style, and when you unlock the skills you have them all in a box, then you click the box, and drag them into smaller boxes at the side of your screen, which you can click. The first skill can be activated by F1, second by F2 etc...Tell me if this is confusing.

The F1 keys also have other purposes than things designed for this game, however. I think the only solution is to have a box thing on the screen where you can click the spell you want to use, and then click a key(I.e. the shift key) and that allows you to use the spell multiple times.

Yeah, maybe SHIFT+F1-F8...Unless those are being used too.

Button scripts.

Post by Argetlam Tre on Mon 4 Oct - 18:15:52

No, because in the heat of a real battle that could take too long to hit. I was thinking maybe the number buttons? I dont really feel a need to use those in a battle, and i could turn off the key link if i wanted and press that button again to turn it on back to the same spells. The spells are saved with the link, its just that the activation feature when the number is pressed is disabled after hittting the =+ sign or something?

Hrm, then maybe like a Joy Stick control, where you can make a specific button do a specific thing, including using CTRL, ALT, CTRL ALT, and stuff...

Idk it will have to be worked out, but if you go with the numbers thing, make sure that you can turn off the link but save the spells that were linked

This idea makes the most sense to be, but there aren't exactly a lot of buttons, so I think there should be a box with the classes you are, and you click on the classes and then all of the abilities in that class you open are switched to your keyboard, where you can switch them to the key you want.

Thank you guys for reminding me about this lol

I was setting up a macro system for the game's skills/abilities. For those who aren't big gamers let me explain shortly.

I am having it so that you basically assign the skills you want to whatever key on the keyboard(Excluding ctrl, shift, caps lock, tab, the flag key, alt, and fn) since those are used for major computer functions and would occasionally cause some problems with your computer. So say you have a spell Brisingr, you can right click it and there will be a command "Assign" and a virtual keyboard(or maybe just a text box, might just update later on) will pop up and you pick which key to put said skill on. And you simply just press the key to use it

Alright but what if i put brsingr to the letter "B" and i went to type a B in the Text box? Would it still cast brsingr? and same thing, if i was in a battle and i accidently was in a text box and i went to cast brsingr and i typed b and possibly died, that could possibly be a problem? AND YES BEG, LEAVE ME ALONE YOU WERE RIGHT :p

I made it so when you're typing in a message it ignores all macros, so if you're in a text box than you can't do anything unless you exit out of it. So just be careful where you start chatting
